Pain under Ribs on Left Side

I am going to type out my history to give a better understanding of my situation.

In Feb 09  I started to have pain under my right ribs, hida scan showed low % fuctioning rate, so they removed it. (MAY)    1 week after surgery I awoken with screaming pain.  Lasted for 6 hours then went to ER.
They told me it was inflammation from the surgery and sent me home.  The pain has not went away since!!!

Went to a Gastro dr, in which he sent me for many tests: Colon, EGD, MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, blood, the whole works.
According to him,  he said I had some swelling in the stomach, and acid reflex,  small ulcer, and some how, he mentioned GERD
So I was taking Nexium.   Pain never went away.  So I went back to him a few times after surgery.
Last month, he literrally said "I dont know!!"   so he sent me to a pain management center.

They put me on Etodolac for arthritis inflammation, and the Fentanyl patch.

The next month I am STILL in pain, so I decided to see another Gastro Dr.  He says he needs to study all my previous test results and go from there.  He also put my on Hyosyamine for antispasmatics.

To this date,  I have dealt with this pain.  Some days are better than others but I still walk around like a zombie feeling and looking sick all the time.

The pain is from the center towards the left under my rib cage.  Hurts to be touched.  I really cannot describe the pain but just as it hurts

Please let me know if you have been through this.....Researching on the internet I mostly found my symptoms to match up with:  Crohns, Gastritis, Pancreatis, or Fibromyalgia  

Please help me,  I miss my active lifestyle with my kids, and they miss me.  All I want to do is lay around and baby this pain!

I been getting pain under my left rib cage and I have chrons disease and I don't no where this pain is coming from under my left rib cage I had my hole large intestine removed back 2004 I all most died bc of my chrons and I been dealing with this left side pain for all most 5 yrs so sum one plz tell me what is causing this left side pain under my rib cage

I have had a terrible day on sat. with constipation.  When it finally passed it was so huge which gave me a panic attack all day.  Even though it had passed I still panicked until the next day.  Uncontrollable shaking with lock jaw and severe sweating
I went to the GI dr insisted to be seen since they dont do walk ins.
He ordered another colonscopy scheduled for Monday.  He thinks I also have IBS
The pain I refer to now is under my left rib cage where the incision is from gall bladder removal.
That is my update for now until after further testing which will include my ovaries since I thought they were hurting at once but it was the bowel being so big pushing on my ovaries, I believe.
Although in my younger years I had a cyst that had to be removed then dr told me I had endometreosis.  Went away after a year or so.

You said you get the pain in the right rib just under the breast, what did the doctor say yours was please... I also have this and nearly lost my life in April/May 2009 after complaining to my docs about this pain for about 15 months when they said it was 'just muscular!'. The problem pain is still there even though the 5 emergency laparoscopies removed many adhesions and a bowel blockage.

Finally got done with all my testing and they come to the conclusion that I have:
Gastroparesis.
They gave me reglan so we'll see how it helps or reacts.

I have Crohn's and I get pain where my ribs are, just under my breast on the right side. I also get under my belly button too. Do you have any other symptoms? Before I was diagnosed I slept constantly, was in tremendous pain and whenever i ate i usually vomited it up. On top of that I was going to the toilet anything from 10 to 30 times a day. Also lost nearly 2 stone in weight.

I get the same thing since my gallbladder was removed 9 yrs ago. mine comes and goes. Im not sure either what or why I do know that some food trigger the pain. I go for colonoscopy to see if I have Crohn's tho. my mom has Celiac's look them both up and see what you think and find dr that will really get to the prb good luck.

I forgot to mention, it was my Gall bladder they removed in May
