Unresolved gastrointestinal issues

I am a 42-year old female who began having severe gastrointestinal issues 2-years ago.  To make a really long story short, I had an infected cyst and was given VERY strong antibiotics (both orally and by IV).  My problems began shortly thereafter.  I've had severe diarrhea, nausea, pain in the right flank and just under the ribs, headaches, etc.  I have seen 3 GI's, had so many tests it is unreal (Colonoscopy, Endoscopy, CAT scans, blood tests, Gastric emptying study, brain MRI), all of which were inconclusive.  After the CAT scan, the barium "shake" made me extremely ill.  While I was so ill, my GI ordered blood tests (12 vials of blood were drawn as well as a urine study).  I became dehydrated and ended up with water intoxification.  After my brush with death in the ICU, the emergency room doctor told my husband that it was Chrons (which my mother has a moderate case of).  My family doctor took pity on me and gave me Prednisone which helped greatly but of couse I was not allowed to stay on it.  I had a period of roughly 4-6 months where my symptoms abated (didn't go away entirely but were more liveable) and now I am right back where I started (BM's 3-5 times a day, sometimes waking me at night, pain, nausea, loss of appetite).  I've no more GIs to see and my family doctor is at a loss.  I need some suggestions as to what I can do next please!

i sm not a medical professional.  If you were my daughter, you would be CALLING FOR AN APPT. &  on your way to Charlotte Gastroenterology & Hepatology, ASAP.  They have wonderful doctors there.  They saved my life years ago & I am still a patient there.  704-377-4009.  Good luck
