For some reason I can't play the video. Vance, I can tell you this about a local encounter with these people. They sent a mole to do an interview for a newspaper with the only doctor who performs abortions.
They did a cut and paste job with the interview and just stopped short of slander. What's worse, these people knew that the doctor had a kid in school locally so they went to that school to protest using some of the pilfered information. It was a complete hack job.
These people are not above that.
All these people need to do is prove they are doing the things they say they are doing. I'd bet they can't.

I have always respected PP and think this group's attempt to discredit them in this way is despicable and misleading.

They do not sell it Vance, that is the point. They DONATE it with the patients consent. They may have a small charge for transportation of the tissue/storage of the tissue and it is 30 bucks with a max of 100 bucks dependent on the situation. That's what bothers me . . . you've bought into this. It was a set up. THEY offered that amount of money and the clip is edited. It's done by antiabortion groups. Period.
It is not a valid video. It was MADE with a purpose. And they do --- absolutely say that they never agreed to what the actors in the undercover entrapment video were saying.
This is not the first time videos that are unfavorable cam out against PP all by antiabortion groups.

I'm not down with the anti-abortion protesters, they sicken me as much as these people from PP. But just because the video is from a place you don't like doesn't make it any less real or true.

I wanted to point out as well, providing tissue to science isn't new. Hospitals do it as well. Planned parenthood gets consent from their patients to donate the tissue remains. The only charges they incur when the remains are transferred to a lab are that of transportation or those types of things. They state they do not SELL parts and the videos that surfaced are edited as the actors in them were offering to buy the tissue. Then there is the SHOCK value thing about how they try to retain parts of the fetus for science. No, that's not pretty. But again, saving lives is important work. MUCH of science isn't pretty or medical care in general. But the anti abortion folks who make these types of deceitful videos want to SHOCK the public. That's it.
And then politicians with agendas go with it.
As a Republican, I just watch things like this and watch our party struggle to have enough votes to gain the White House and shake my head. Either we need a new party altogether or more Republican politicians to not be afraid to go against party lines on abortion (worrying about Christian right money being pulled).

Part of anti abortion protests is, they try to intimidate you. If that doesn't work, they try to provoke you into doing something to them, such as physically remove them and then they try to slap a battery charge on you. For a lack of a better term, these people suc*.
I went in for an ob appointment once when newly pregnant and was RUSHED by some protesters. They handed me pictures of dead babies. It's all about the SHOW and SHOCK value. That's all they got. I was like "um, I'm just seeing my OB for my 12 week visit". They didn't care who I was . . . they just wanted me to have these pictures which I promptly gave to security when I entered the building to help remove these people from the parking lot. Honestly, antiabortion folks get crazy in my opinion.
Really, you need to read about who is making these videos meant to discredit PP. They posed as a company, Biomax Procurment, and did a total set up. The offers of 1600 dollars that these posers were giving were rejected but the video is edited. ONLY those types of offers are illegal but PP providing tissue to science companies is NOT against the law. And shouldn't be in my opinion.

I have had to deal with anti-abortion demonstrators first hand. These people are the worst of the worst. After numerous occasions of having to deal with them, I wouldn't believe a word that came out of any of their mouths. They're scum.... For a good reference of that, the fine folks at Westboro Baptist Church are abortion protestors.

But I WILL say that I agree Brice, much 'medical' is indeed a bit gross. But if the tissue from an aborted fetus saved someone I loved, I'm 100 percent for it. Abortion is happening and should be allowed so better to make use of it is a very positive way.

I'm going to tell you what I believe and wish. I believe that while abortion is disgusting that it is needed at times. While it is not a birth control method if the life of the mother is in danger, from rape or incest then yes I would be fine with it. Other than that we need to do a better job with education.

It is similar to last week’s viral video showing PPFA Senior Director of Medical Services Dr. Deborah Nucatola admitting to using partial-birth abortions to get intact parts and suggesting a price range of $30 to $100 per specimen.
Gatter is a senior official within Planned Parenthood and is President of the Medical Directors’ Council, the central committee of all Planned Parenthood affiliate medical directors.
Actors posing as buyers ask Gatter, “What would you expect for intact [fetal] tissue?”
“Well, why don’t you start by telling me what you’re used to paying!” Gatter replies.
Gatter continues: “You know, in negotiations whoever throws out the figure first is at a loss, right?” She explains, “I just don’t want to lowball,” before suggesting, “$75 a specimen.”
Gatter twice recites Planned Parenthood messaging on fetal tissue collection, “We’re not in it for the money,” and “The money is not the important thing,” but she immediately qualifies each statement with, respectively, “But what were you thinking of?” and, “But it has to be big enough that it’s worthwhile for me.”
Gatter also admits that in prior fetal tissue deals, Planned Parenthood received payment in spite of incurring no cost: “It was logistically very easy for us, we didn’t have to do anything. So there was compensation for this.” She accepts a higher price of $100 per specimen understanding that it will be only for high-quality fetal organs: “Now, this is for tissue that you actually take, not just tissue that someone volunteers and you can’t find anything, right?”

You and I see an aborted fetus differently. I see that it very well could be tissue used for a beneficial purpose such as scientific discovery.
Again, these videos are made by a group TRYING to defame planned parenthood. Anti abortion groups are about as radical as they come. I've been approached to join some activity believe it or not because as I've mentioned, I have friends who are antiabortion radicals. They'll stop at nothing. THEY are so full of themselves in my opinion to put their beliefs on other people.
