You know, we have an election here (provincial) next week, and I am so torn who to vote for.  Same issues you all have there.  There are 4 or 5 parties running, they are all busy slamming each other and no one is telling me what they are going to do to fix things. I want to rip my hair out of my head in frustration.  Sometimes I do think that it would be nice to just see ordinary, everyday people..working class, homemakers, etc. who really know what it is like to try to live within our means and keep roof's over our heads, food on the table etc.  running things.  I think you'd see people really get down to business and get some of these issues fixed!  I know I am sick and tired of hearing the uber wealthy try to tell me they understand my fears.  No they don't, why do they insult my intelligence by pretending otherwise?

Anyway, rant over.  And as for that birth certificate..heck, I know a guy who knows a guy...lol...

Amanda -- my house is often in chaos, because we live in it and "spic and span" isn't always comfortable... however, my experience with Auntie has taught me that I can move mountains when I need to........  you can have specialmom for your VP and the rest of us can handle PR...... what a team.......  without a doubt, we could do as well as our current Congress/Administration is doing.........  :-)

Thanks for the confidence Kay!  However, if you saw the state of my home today you'd realize I can barely run a household let alone a whole country....although, the first thing I would do is line up all those politicians and make them learn to play nicely with each other or go to time out!  That should get people co operating don't you think?

I'm thinkin RGlass, or any one of us can do as good as the running candidates, both Republicans and Democrats.... at least we have real life experience and know what it's like to have to live within our means or suffer the consequences.

Hate to be conspiracy-theory-guy, but the only reason I saw for him making it as far as he did, was that he surrounded himself with those who had their own reasons for wanting him to succeed. Otherwise he seemed rather clueless.
So, I'm left with a short list for the primary. Vote for Ron Paul as a token protest or vote my conscience and write in RGlass.

Besides all the things I could say against the guy, lets just bring it down to this, he has no sense of humor.
Anyone without a sense of humor, in my opinion, is seriously disabled.

( My 94 year old mom has lost most of  her hearing, much of her sight, her teeth, her short term memory, uses a walker but she still has her sense of humor. If you gotta have just one, that's the one to keep in my book)

I think Santorum would have lost PA and that would have been really embarrassing plus it would have narrowed his political opportunities.

ha, orphanhawk, are you sad to see Santorum go?  I thought he gave up because his messages were a little over the top on some things and voters weren't giving him the votes.  Even in his home state, he was begining to track low on the polls.  I do my best to ignore political ads by the way.  I don't find anything really one sided helpful in painting a true picture.  Wasted money when it comes to this little woman.
