Guns Banned?
I cannot imagine how Griz would have dispatched the 2 pigs he slaughtered the other day...with a knife?Much suffering it would bring the poor critter.
Many times we hace had to use different calibers of guns for different things throughout the years.Animals that stalked my little girl and killed my dog and 30 plus chickens.Living where we do we have them for self-protection,(the law takes forever to get here).We have also had to end the suffering of an animal a time or 2,without something what would we do?Hit it in the head with a rock and hope we killed it?
The saying say "Outlaw guns and then only criminals will have guns".Stricter application for permits required safety classes locked cabinets when children are residing there.Wait a Minute! Why weren't her Guns in a locked cabinet?she failed her son greatly and indirectly caused the life of the children to be lost.She is guilty also,she had to have known better.If my child had a problem I would know and seek help.

Sorry - we were discussing banning ALL AR's for civilian use.

Yes, an AR can be either automatic or sem-automatic. An automatic weapon fires multiple rounds with one pull of the trigger; a semi-automatic requires a pull of the trigger for each round. Many civilians own automatic weapons and can take down multiple people with one pull of the trigger.

What I was reading NG, is it is about how much one can shoot at a time. I think the ban would be for tihngs that shot over 10 bullets in rapid fire. ??

We are all still fine and still own guns after that no?!..So if we can ban auto's of all kind we cam ban semi autos of all kind IMO from civilians... .
I may be wrong, I am DEFINITELY not all that great with knowledge of guns...but if we are talking a ban on all semi-auto guns, wouldn't that encompass a LOT of guns? Brice explained it well, and my hubby was trying to explain the differences to me as well.

As a gun owner and a citizen that is 100% for the 2nd amendment, I hear ya. However, handguns are NOT being taking away. The only guns they are speaking of are semi auto's...Now I do own 1 semi-auto sig sauer .45 pistol...If the new law says NO Civilian should have ANY auto or semi auto guns and clips that carry more than 10 bullets, I'm fine with it. I still have my 12 gauge, my lever action, bolt action rifle, and my revolver (which is not semi-auto) to keep me safe from "what if"....I believe the less semi-auto weapons are available, the less we have to deal with horrible tragedy's like Newtown...When machine gun Kelly caused hell in the 1930's the government banned automatic weapons. Isn't it possible the founding fathers were talking muskets from that period of time. I doubt back then they could envision the carnage of an AR-15. In fact I would guess that most people that own these weapons are not aware of the ungodly amount of damage they do. Any one that has served in our wars and has witnessed it up close and personal can tell ya, its not something they want in their everyday civilian life. Just my opinion
