I am having the same problem after root canal. When I bite, I feel the tooth is a little bit higher, especially on the edge. Will go to my dentis tomorrow and get it grinder a bit.
Fingers crossed!
Oh. By the way.. About Kelflex and amoxicillin. I took both of them as well. At first, Kelflex does not help, so my dentist changed to amoxicillin, which solved the problem.
My mom (she is a surgeon) said these two antibiotic are treating different bacterias. It really depends on what bacteria you caught.
Hope it helps. Also always finish the whole course. Stupid me. Last time I stopped when the pain subsided, and of course it soon came back!
P.S. I live in Australia.
Thanks for the response. Got sick again a day short of finishing the antibiotic and the dentist and my GI doc told me to stop it. Endodontist checked the tooth and guess it is just sore. Went to the dentist that is planning on trying to do bridges and he did some grinding on the bridge I have now to take the pressure off the bite and it feels much better. First time in a loooong time I have been able to bite down on my own teeth without discomfort.. Still a little sore above the tooth but mot as bad. Just hope this works.
Even after RCT the tooth may still be sensitive for a while. It can take a few days for the antibiotics to get into your system. Do make sure you finish the whole course. If you are still in pain after a few days, go back to see the Dentist. If the pain does clear up after the antibiotics, make sure you tell your Dentist at your next appt that you suffered even after the RCT had been done.
Hope this helps

Bad day today. More sore and upset stomach, add that to worse dry mouth and throat issues and again producing phlegm. Called the dic who wants me to try and stay on this med. every 6 hours is a problem. Makes me sucker having to get up at 5:30 Am to take a pill and drink a full glass of water.
Never this miserable after a root canal before. He said the infection is probably in the bone.
Anyone else have these issues? I asked for maybe Keflex but he said this med is better.
7 days of this!!
Now, for some reason, a bottom molar is hurting
