There are gingival (gum) graft procedures that are successful. The tissue is often taken from the palate. It is possible in the future that this type of tissue can be genetically grown(for a better word).
Arent Gingival gum gratfs only used to cover exposed roots???
I guess I was wondering for those of us with long teeth, if there would be any way to increase the gum tissue to actually shorten the crown for cosmetic reasons...
I was told that as of right now that it's not possible becasue the tissue would not "grab" onto the smooth surface of the tooth itself... or was I misinformed??
