Clot after tooth extraction

Hi everyone,

I just had a molar extracted this morning, and cannot tell if the clot is forming as it should. Is it supposed to be close to the surface, or is the clot down inside more?

What I can see is an indentation where the tooth was, lighter gum tissue around the upper cavity, and a dark spec in the center, but it is a very small speck that is way down inside the hole.

Is that normal?

Thanks for your help

Thanks for your reply. It must be doing okay, because I have had no pain so far, no symptoms of dry socket. :-)

Thanks

yep sounds like a clot to me.... dont do anything witha sucking motion (smoking, drinking from strws or spitting) or that clot will come out and result in a dry socket
