Cosmetic dentistry replacement

More than 15 years ago I had cosmetic dentistry on a six of my teeth.  My teeth were ground down and capped as was the routine practice at the time.  However, the procedure was apparently botched..The caps have come loose and I am told that they cannot be permanently reattached.  Several times each year one (or more) of the caps comes off.  Fortunately I have not lost (or swallowed) any of them, but even though they are reattached, the problem persists.  I have been told that because the teeth have been ground down, none of the techniques commonly used today can be employed.  I have also been told that the cost to properly repair the teeth the cost could be $30,000 or more.

Are there any dental proceedures that can permanently restore my teeth at a more reasonable cost?
