Crown Pain

Crown Pain

I had a crown put on a back bottom molar 4 days ago.  The needle area was quite sensitive and I believe he hit a nerve when giving the needle.  I had pain for a whole week with a temporary tooth.  Then they put in the new crown to replace the temporary and now I am having the same pain I had the week before.  The pain actually radiates up to the top molars.  The pain seems to start when I am having lunch and then it progressively gets worse throughout the day into the evening when I finally can't stand it anymore and have to take an advil.  Should I return to the dentist or should I wait another few days to see if the pain subsides.  The molar does seem to be lower than the original tooth, would this cause the pain?
