either way they are going to gringd your teeth down.... if you get a crown they are going to make your tooth into a small little stump so they can place crown on top....veneers they are going to grind it down to make them stick to it....
if they are not noticable and they dont cause any problems then leave it alone.....it up to you..its your mouth
That is wat i have hrd that they will have to grind my tooth .... This is why i wanted an opinion whether i should actually get crowns...
The chips are extremely small and not really noticeable also.... Should i still get it done???
if the chips are small i would ask about porcelin veneers
you most likely will need a crown and also root canal if there is pulp involvement. if the remaining tooth structure is too small to achieve a strong and stable veneer, afull crown is the ideal choice.
to put a crown in, reduction is made on all surfaces of the involved tooth by grinding off some enamel and dentin. this is to provide sufficient space to accommodate the thickness of the crown material to be put on. a temporary crown will be put in place so you can look presentable while the permanent crown is being fabricated
