Crowns for 6 front teeth
My dentist explained to me that I had decay inside my two front teeth and the teeth next them, and it would be best to get porcelin crowns from canine to canine. I am kind of freaked out because I have taken very good care of my teeth and I have excellent oral hygiene. I'm thinking, "how could this happen to me?" and I am reluctant to proceed because all the teeth look good on the outside. Any input, advice or suggestions? Thanks!
Sorry it took so long to reply... There is some decay behand the 2 front teeth, which look good from the front when I smile. Part of the reason for going with all 6 is that I've been told that many patients wish they did it that way (K9 to K9) after the fact, for color match, improving the smile, etc. But it seems like a huge undertaking and quite expensive, even with benifits it will be about 6K. Thank you!

Based on the information provided, I personally feel 6 anterior crowns are overtreated,unless there are some unusual conditions behind.
Is there a problem with doing one tooth at a time or is it best to do all six together? Thank you Dr. Scottma.
