I had two teeth extracted two days ago and I'm still in a lot of pain and have a lot of swelling. Is this normal?

Hi there,
The common cause of pain after tooth extraction is dry socket. The socket is the hole in the bone where the tooth has been removed. If the blood clot formed after tooth extraction becomes dislodged the bone and nerve are exposed to air, food, fluid, and anything else that enters the mouth. This can lead to infection and severe pain that can last for five or six days. Any infection or persistent bruise at the local area can also lead to pain and swelling. See your dentist and get examined. I hope it helps.
Best luck and regards!
