When should I get my wisdom teeth out?

Hey all!
I am almost 24 years old and I have all four of my wisdom teeth. I avoided going to the dentist during college, and when I FINALLY went in August, he told me I needed my wisdom teeth out, pronto. I went to see an oral surgeon and he disagreed with my dentist that I really needed them out urgently. He said that because my teeth were fully grown, many people my age elect to take a "wait and see" approach. When I mentioned that I have a random week off because I resigned from my current job and am waiting to start a new job, he said why don't I go ahead and get them out, since I have the time. When I called my dentist to let him know, he said that a week was really pushing it given he knows how sensitive my mouth is, and how difficult that tooth will be to extract. I think the reason he was so pushy about me getting them out was because he knows I avoided going for so many years, and I don't have the best oral hygiene. Three of my wisdom teeth are normal but one is growing in at a 45 degree angle. But, to this date I've had no pain, no complications whatsoever. I'm thinking if I step up my oral hygiene game I might be able to keep the other three, but I'm guessing the angled one probably will need to come out eventually. The surgeon didn't think it was an urgent issue since I wasn't having any pain, and have most likely had these teeth for years.

What I'm wondering is, what is the likelihood of developing pain or problems in the angled tooth? The surgeon said my predicament was "not urgent". I'm getting married in September and would hate to have problems or an emergency during my honeymoon or right before the wedding. If anyone has info on this I would appreciate it! In the meantime I plan on stepping up my oral hygiene game so my gums aren't as sensitive when I do decide to remove them. Do you think it could wait a few years until I'm settled into my new job? I obviously know that I need more professional opinions but I'm just curious as to "in general" how long does it take for these issues to develop?

Removal of angled  wisdom tooth is beneficial to second molar , if you don't plan to remove it at present time, periodic x Ray check up is warranted .
