I've had geographic tongueTongue tie for about 12 years now, with the near-constant presence of lesions of varying size- until recently. A few months back, I noticed that the symptoms were improving somewhat when I used "Advanced Listerine with Tartar Protection" instead of regularRegular insulin Listerine or other mouthwashes. Seizing this opportunity, I started brushing three times per day (vigorously cleaning my tongueTongue tie each time) and, of course, gargling with the mouthwash afterwards. Since I began this regimen, I only get small lesions that quickly disappear. I can even stick my tongueTongue tie out occasionally.
Anyway, the only difference between the new mouthwash and regularRegular insulin Listerine is that it has zinc chloride as an ingredient. Could there be anything to this? Just trying to help others...
