Hot cold sensitivity after crown

I recently have had a crown placed on a bottom molar for a cracked tooth.  I had no sensitivity with the temporary just some minor discomfort while chewing.  With the permanent crown I have pretty severe cold sensitiviy.  The crown is three days old, will this symptoms subside in a few days or should I go back to the dentist?

In other words, the crown wasn't sealed properly. Sounds slipshod to me. Maybe he was late for lunch?
People need to know that DENTISTS' SKILLS VARY. Some take pride in their work; others are ARTISTS. And some are simply incompetent.
Dentistry is extremely stressful for the dentists. I've always shopped around, asked people and have been able to find good ones. As in patient, kind, careful and perfectionistic. A perfect one is hard to find but you can get close.

Cold sensitivity after crown delivery is commomly associated with occlusal interference. Going back to your dentist to have more occlusal adjustment is advised.
