How do we prevent cavities where brushing cannor reach?

Over 80% of cavities occur inside grooves on chewing surfaces where food is trapped while eating and brushing cannot reach. How do we prevent these cavities?

on the chewing surfaces...

-You can chew gum with xylitol
-Use a fluoride gel such as gel-cam, ask the pharmacist for it, its behind the counter
-in teeth without fillings you can get sealants which cover and protect the pits and fissures
-an ultrasonic toothbrush is better than a manual one

Floss.  
It's the single most important thing you can do.  It removes the plaque that forms between the teeth.

There are also intradental brushes that can be used.  If you don't floss or use a intradental brush you really aren't completely cleaning your teeth.

Flossing is necessary once a day.
