Infection?

I am in good general health. A month ago I noticed I am a bit tired and lightheaded on daily walks. (I am not dehydrated). I've also noticed a slight discomfort right side near ribs, not pain, just uncomfortable. Lately its alot more pronounced.

I have always had sensitive teeth(receeding gums)and the last few days I have noticed a huge ramp up in sensitivity and actual pain at night keeping me awake on same side as rib pain. Also I have a slight nagging headache many hours that same side as jaw face teeth sensitivity. I have made an emergency appt with dentist and have  reg dr appt 3 wks away. Could this all be related, ie could I have  a whopping infection that has spread and be in any serious danger bet\yond th annoyance of feeling exhausted and achey?

I just started a new job and hate to skip work, but if this is really serious I might just call in and go sit at dentist office and wait to be worked in or try to get moved up at dr. too  Thx

Thank you. That is really scary. My dr ordered some blood tests, I wonder if she thought of shingles? I will mention it.
Thx for responding

Look up shingles.  Have you ever had chicken pox?  Shingles is causes by the latent virus after having chicken pox.  It can hit at any time, especially if your immunity is low or stress is high.  Shingles causes nerve pain on one side.  The pain can be anywhere.  It can also itch.  It often starts on the side where you are talking about.  Sometimes you break out in small round scalelike sores that may itch.  Sometimes you have pain first.  If you don't get it treated, it can be very serious.  Some people progress more rapidly than others in the illness. If it gets in your eye, you could lose sight.   Ask your doctor about shingles just in case.
