Hello,
I had an accident a couple of years ago, where I was hit in the front two teeth. There was pain for a few days, but it wasn't unbearable. I went to my dentist, and he told me I would likely need a root canal. After about a week, the teeth both turned greyish, and I went in again and the root canals were performed. Because the teeth were severely discolored, the dentist used a peroxide solution that was injected into my teeth to change the color back to a white. It was successful, and made my teeth look close to normal.
After about a 6 month, the color again started to turn to a shade of grey, and he once again gave me the whitening solution.
My teeth ache daily, but I've learned to live with it. There is a very sensitive spot right below my right nostril, then when touched with a little pressure, send a shooting pain from the bottom of my nose, into my gums. Perhaps it is some nerve damage from the accident I had. I am not sure, and was never given an answer on this.
My reason for posting, is that roughly a week and a half ago, I noticed a lump forming behind my front two teeth, on the roof of my mouth. It was a bit annoying, and I started to touch and press on it with my tongue. After a few days, the swelling showed up on the front of my gums, on my frenum (I believe that is the vein sort of line that runs between your two front teeth on your gums???).
It is very noticeable on my gums now.
I went to the dentist a couple of days ago, and he said he had no idea what it was. He suggested that because of my accident, I see an endodontist.
I'm presently taking amoxicillin and rinsing with salt/water.
If anyone could chime in and let me know their thoughts, opinions, or suggestions, I would most greatly appreciate it.
Thank you kindly in advance.
