Oral thrush

HI i am being treated for oral thrush and i have been tested for hiv and diabetes and everything came back fine, so my question is ..... what else causes it?

I don't know whats wrong with me or if anything is wrong with me. I do know that i have 3 wisdom teeth that came in and well maybe they might be the root of all this? or my mouth is drying out. I dunno. I will def. pray for everyone on here.

Apparently i have been misdiagnosed again! What is it with doctors telling me there is something horribly wrong with me and frightening me near to death? I am so sick of doctors and how they say that something is wrong with you and then they dont check to see if thats really what it is.

I too am a COPD patient. I do not have thrush, but I have noticed that my taste has greatly changed. I am on inhalers and the taste change started, after I started the inhalers. Things that once tasted good to me, no longer taste so to me. At times, I have no real taste for anything really. Once was not a picky eater, but due to this taste change, I have become quite picky. It is because somehow the inhalers have changed my taste. I find it somewhat frustrating, as I have always enjoyed eating the things I like to eat. Just noticed that you were a COPD patient, too. And wanted to tell you my little story about my taste change. I will pray for you and everyone on here. Take care.

there is a probiotic called threelac and i heard that it works great and i also suffer from thrush and im am going to try this product out ill let you kno how it works =]

You could try taking oil of oregano in capsules. Its a natural anti fungal.

Is there anything i can do to balance my body back out?  So this oral thrush goes away? The nystatin helped but it did not cure me.  I am just afraid that it is going to come back if i dont do something to eradicate it. any tips are GREATLY appreciated!!!

I get these tiny white spots of skin that you can scrape off, also there are these tiny bumps under my tongue and i dont know if thats part of it being inflamed. I just wish it would go away and resolve itself cause its driving me nuts and freaking me out! :(

I will def. PRAY FOR YOU!!! I am hoping mine was a reaction to the nasonax i was put on in february , or an allergic reaction to alcohol. And that all of this is from malnutrition as well, from doing south beach phase 1 for a couple of months not just 2 weeks.
Nystatin is full of sugar, it makes my face break out real bad and well moves everything along in my intestines way fast,  However my recommendation is eat as much yogurt as you can like activia, (eat it at least 3 times a day) I am going to do a week of garlic pills and i will let you know if it works!  I am allegic to so many medications so i try alternative things. You are right about the taste of things ( they dont taste the same- everything is duller).  I am freaked out about it b/c its a sign of something bad, but i have been tested and nothing is showing up.... do i need to wait longer and then get tested again? or ask for an A1C?

Hi! I am suffering from the same thing whice is characterised also by a whit tonhue. My doc has me on Nystatin. I must brush my teeth at least twice a day. Then I brush the Nystatin all over my toung with the tooth brush. I also must brush under the tongut the roof of my mouth, under my tongue on both sides, the inside of both cheeks. Then I gargle with the rest of the Nystatin (i teaspoon full for wash and gargle) I have been doing this for a month and can see no  difference. Also, I have lost 95% of my tasting ability. That varies a little up and down.

I think mine is caused by antobotics. I am a COPD patient and they load me up with antibotics.

It started on easter sunday and then when it did not clear up in 2 weeks i went to the doc and got nystatin for it. and its taken a whole long while but it is almost gone now.

Back in february i had been put on nasonax and i stopped the use of it b/c it was not working. Do you think that  and that night of alcohol did it? and because i am older now my hormones changed?

also i have been doing the phase one of the south beach diet so i could lose some weight.

It first appeared after a night of drinking on my birthday weekend and i normally do not drink. 1. i dont like it and 2. I can not handle it about more than 2-3 lite beers....... no liquor at all makes me too sick.
