Painful tongue sores

My son has developed painful sores on the sides and front of his tongue. What causes this and how can we ease the pain?

one thing i would do is have your iron level/hemoglobin checked....after finding out i was severly anemic....the sores on my tongue went away with treatment, seek professional advice!

This can not be diagnosed without seeing it. My suggestion is that you see your dentist or an oral surgeon asap.
