9 months ago I got routineRoutine sputum culture cleaning. Two days later my tongueTongue tie got very sore, swollenSwollen glands, and had white patchesAllergy testing Skin color - patchy underneath it.
I got treated for oral thrush twiceTwice-a-day. the firstFirst progesterone mc10 First progesterone mc5 First-progesterone vgs 100 First-progesterone vgs 200 First-progesterone vgs 25 First-progesterone vgs 400 First-progesterone vgs 50 First-testosterone First-testosterone mc time i got no improvement from the medication. The second time, a different medication, i've noticed a decrease in the white marks but the swelling remains.
I got reffered to an oral surgeon who concluded i'm just biting my tongue. Which I'm pretty sure is total horse **** because I didn't start biting the sides of my tongue until my tongue swelled first.
Currently, my tongue feels VERY swollen underneath, red, bulging veins. The thing that connects your tongue to your mouth is sort of....disformed. Parts of it are swelling and sticking out differently. The sides of my my tongue and slightly underneath are white and patchy. I get a sticky coating on my tongue if i eat anything and when i wipe my tongue off on a towel, it can be any color from bright red to light yellow. I'm a light smoker and use an oral inhaler. I have a past of sexual promiscuity that is haunting me now because i'm scared shitless that it's related to my past mistakes.
My doctor told me to come back in a month if it wasn't gone but at this point of suffering through this for 9 months, i don't want to wait that long to try something new to find out what's wrong with it. The oral surgeon offered the option of getting a biopsy of the white patches but it won't be covered under my insurance.
Is this some kind of std? infection? related to internal organs? Please help, I've been living in fear with this for months. My dad doesn't take it seriously and isn't offering much support or help. I feel like i'm on my own to find out what's wrong with my tongue because my doctor is taking it too lightly and my dad doesn't believe in modern medicine.
thank you for taking the time to read this. i really appreciate any help.
