Squishy Bump on Gum After a Sinus Infection

Two weeks ago I went to the ER for extreme pain in my jaw on the left side of my face. I was told that I had a TMJ disorder. Two days later I went to the ER again, because the left side of my face was totally swollen including the eye area. They did an X-ray and a CT scan to rule out a dental problem and I was diagnosed with a sinus infection. There was a large pocket of puss inside the sinus cavity in my cheek. I was given scripts for the Z-pack and a steroid.

Now, I have a small squishy bump on my gums on the left side of my face. It is far up on my gums - almost in the crease between my cheek and my gums. It only hurts when I bump it. And nothing comes out of it like puss.

My wisdom teeth were removed almost 12 years ago. The teeth below the bump both have had root canals and have crowns.

What is this bump?

U have an absess at the root of your tooth . The infection may have begun here or spread here from your sinus. My left side of my nose was lifted up due to the absess. My doctor told me he couldn't prescribe anything since it was a dental problem.

I believe I have this same problem but I am pregnant right now and they do not want to X-ray or do anything to it till I have my baby.  Mine is on the right side, I remember mine came up after I had some sinus problems also.  It seems like ever since this bump came up I have had some kind of sinus problems.  The bump I have cannot be seen but you can feel it and it sounds like its in the same location yours is in pretty much just on the right side.  Mine will get bigger and smaller also.  No pain with it unless I touch it and even then the pain is nothing at all really.  Good luck and if I learn anything I will pass it on!  :)
