I have a small blister on the inside of my lip. I've had it for a few weeks now. It doesn't hurt but it always gets in the way when I eat and sometimes I accidentally bite it. I'm also in band and when i close down on my mouthpiece, it gets in the way. I don't know what it is or what to do... Any suggestions?
Does it look something like this?
Most common out of non painful ones...would be a mucocele. It is a sac of tissue filled with fluid, usually due to some local trauma. Mucoceles usually rupture by themselves. If it becomes bothersome I would suggest scheduling dental appointment in order to rule out anything else. Also if it does not rupture by itself, dentist may use needle from syringe to rupture it.
