Your descriptions suggest there is occlusal interference introduced by temporary crown. You may request your dentist to adjust bite of temporary crown. If your dentist can not adjust bite optimally, you may ask him to remove temporary crown and observe if your problems disappear.
Thank you. Last night I was up at 2 in the morning with pain all the way up to my cheek bone for 2 hours until the medicine started working. So when you say that the dentist needs to adjust my bite does that mean that the temporary crown could be placed too high. Because since the tooth below it is gone the crown doesnt make any contact with any other teeth when I bite down. When I run my tongue across my teeth it is very obvious that the temporary crown is placed much higher than my other teeth rather than being in line with the others. I don't have any hot or cold sensitivity though.
