Toddler General Anesthesia for Dental Surgery

My granddaughter is scheduled to go under general anesthesia for bottle decay to repair her four front teeth.  The dentist said that it was better to do it all at one time. This means that she will be under GA approximately 2 hours.  Is this safe or too long?

My daughter goes in May 16, 2011 for the same thing.  I am very worried about her going under for 2 hours. They tell me its very safe but as a mother i am sick to my stomach!  How did your grandaughers surgey go?  I am looking for answers and to be reassured.
