Tooth problem

Few days ago my tooth started to hurt. I went to dentist and she said that I should come next day. When I came she drilled it and used some needle to rub and pull something out. She said thats it and gave me amoxicilin every 8 hours. Thing is she said that tooth is dead and I have swelling under my chin right under that tooth. I asked her about that and she told me that antibiotics will kill off infection. Im entering 3rd day of my antibiotic treaphy and swelling is still there as well as pain on swollen place. I have problem opening mh jaw and swallowing. I hace feeling that antibiotics should have worked by now. Im worried.

I faced the same problem with my tooth. I find no results using antibiotics Finally I followed a home remedy that helped me to reduce my tooth pain.
i.e. Put a few drops of tea tree oil in a glass of lukewarm water and rinse your mouth with that solution. You can feel an effective pain relief.

If the tooth is dead i.e. necrotic, then I would think that a root canal would be an advisable procedure. I had a necrotic tooth and an infection in my gum, an infection which did not clear up until a root canal procedure was performed.
