Got back from Dentist
He said i need to do root canal filing in one of my teeth. Coz that's what causing the pain. But the first time i went he said he wasn't sure if it was that tooth. But now he is =/
I can tell difference my self now when i gently bang on it, plus that tooth was very sensitive to cold for a few years
He said its my choice to do it or not. Pain is gone now, but like he said it can come back and be even worst.
It will cost me £300 =[ great xmas present
Thanks for all your help guys, great forum here. Peace
Good luck! Let us know what your dentist thinks but don't stop using that toothpaste!!
It was the only thing that helped me. I really hope it can help you too.
The cold air you mentioned may have alot to do with it. It's also possible that you are clenching your teeth at night because of the cold. Clenching and grinding at night is one of the prime reasons for undiagnosed dental pain.
I hope changing some of those things will get you some relief!! Again, let us know how you are doing.
Best to you,
Gellia
Thank you for all your great replays ! You have been very helpful !!!
@ Gellia after reading your replay i went to the pharmacy and got that paste, thanks for your advice.
Also for some reason last night i didn't had any spasm pain attacks, and only had 2 this morning but not painful ones, they went away very fast.
I was talking to my mum and we came to a conclusion, that i always sleep on one side and right next to the window that always slightly open. And its very cold in England at the moment, its been cold for a good month now. And one side of my face always exposed to a cold ( exact side where i am having pain ) So i was thinking that's what caused the pain.
But I am going to dentist today again anyway, see what he says.
The diagnosis of non-odontogenous toothache is primarily established by patient's manifestation and past history, such as, pain location, duration, quality, etc. Contemporary imaging studies generally yields no structural pathology contributing to pain.
Hi,
Your pain does sound like nerve pain. On the off chance, please try toothpaste for sensitive teeth.
Rub it on the gums where there is pain five or six times a day and just leave it there. Brush with it twice and day and on the bedtime brushing, brush again and don't rinse.
I had the exact type pain you had in my lower jaw for over a year. It was awful. Three different dentists couldn't find a single thing wrong. The toothpaste (I got Sensadyne) was my lifesaver.
It quieted the nerves down and the pain gradually went away. I use it all the time now and have been pain free for over a year!
It does take awhile to work. You have to give it about two weeks but you could feel some pain relief as quickly as a few days.
It's a cheap fix if it works.
The toothpaste fills in the tooth tubules that lead to the nerve. That way the pain sensation is stopped before it can reach the nerve.
I really hope this helps. It's worth a try and like I said, it's cheap.
Good luck and let me know how you do.
Best to you,
Gellia
went to my GP and he told me to go back to my dentist. I am proper confused, they must find out what causing this pain ! its 2011 soon and its England ! with all modern technology. come on...
By the way thank you so much scottma for you replay. I was just googling some of those and "neuralgia" looks very similar to what i have.
thank you, ill see if i can get an appointment to one of those specialists. This is killing me, i cant go anywhere in fear of an other spasm attack. And going back to the dentist after 3 days is really not a option as it cost stupid amount of money here in UK just to see him, and he may just say again that he doesn't know what it is. My mum told me to go and do another X-RAY to see if something changed since i been there ( 3 days ago ).
