crown discomfort

by IminPain1, Nov 22, 2007 06:46PM
I got a temporary crown and it felt great.  I went back to the get real crown after a week.  It's a little high but the dentist said give it 3 weeks and I'll get use to it.  After 2 days, I don't feel it as high.  It's a crown in the upper left back tooth.  But when I bite on the left side, I feel that  the bottom tooth is hitting the middle of the crown and that caused a throbbing pain.  I cannot chew on the left side.  When I had my temporary crown, I did not feel this pain.  I can feel that the middle of the temporary crown was  a little deeper than the real crown.  Is this bite problem or something else?  Should I wait 2 more weeks before going to the dentist?  I need a shot before taking the crown off because it's very sensitive.  Can they shave down the crown while it's still in my mouth?
