dry socket pain

I just had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted 7 days ago from today.   I called my ortho dentist to tell him that i had serious dull aching pain on the  left side of my jaw.  When i went in to see him today he told me that i had 2 dry sockets both on the bottom of my mouth.  He then proceeded to have the dental tech flush and pack my sockets.  It was extremely painful when she did this and they told me i need to come back every 24 hours until the pain finally subsides.

My question is is it going to hurt this bad bad every time i need to go get the packings changed?  and if so why the heck should i do it if it hurts that bad to have it done?  What exactly is the purpose of the packings and how will my socket heal if there is something shoved in there each day? help lol im in serious pain...

i had 2 left wisdom teeth pulled out dec 17th. i had sever pain in 2 days. i went back to the oral surgeon he packed it with clove and salve and some type of packing that will dissolve he said. my pain got even worse. so i called the emergency number, he had left for vacation.i called my regular dentist. i went in he cleaned it repacked it. it felt a little better, but i was still in excruciating pain. i have taken darvecet for 14 days straight now, and ibprofin.the only thing the oral surgeon told me is to use clove oil on it.( by the way he is on vacation till jan 2, so much for needing help.

I live 350 miles down into mexico from Tucson. I had 2 upper wisdom teeth pulled 2 and 5 years ago with no pain at all...Monday Dec 3rd ...I had my lower left rear tooth pulled...and it did not come out like the other 2...I have had more and more pain every day...I can not run back to my dentist in Tuscon...Today I had my wife use a syringe with salt water and wash it out...leaving a large open hole that was very red...it feels better tonight ...

Please...can some one saying something to me about this...I guess ..I will know more in the A.M...Thank You...Larry...
