dry tongue,also cracked with pain

for the past few months i have been having problems with a dry tonge.its not chronic it happens only sometimes out of nowhere.recently ive been to the doctor for red throat that ive had for two months.i asked the doctor why my tongue is dry and why i still have red throat he didnt know.it has aslo been swollen on left side i think that went away.also the roof of my mouth is a little white on some spots.could somebody tell me what this could be

so for red throat ive had for two months and dry tongue with some pain maybe some inflamation.the dentist would be the best place to go.ive been to doctors for these problems four times.first diagnoesed with pharangistis,second glottitis and last g.e.r.d. the las visit i had took exrays and blood test no infections but found out i had g.e.r.d doctor shruged told me he really doesnt know why im having mouth problems.so should i see a dentist.because docs arent very good with mouth problems.
