enamel erosion by gums

my boyfriends upper teeth are eroding looks like it starts from his gum line  and has moved down several mm toward the elamal part of his teeth. He often has bad breath and I love kissing him, but it kinda groses me out with the decay and bad breath. What should he do.

Hi,
He may just need a through dental cleaning.  Plaque along and under the gum line that is not removed (you can't do it by yourself if the plaque is thick) can really smell badly.
The "eroding" part may just be plaque accumulation.

You BF has to make an appt for an dental evaluation and cleaning.  The smell won't go away and will only get worse.  He is also jeopardizing his dental future and possible overall health.  The plaque will form dental pockets and then the bone dissolves and the teeth fall out.

PLEASE get him to go to the dentist and your kissing will be MUCH more enjoyable!
