abcess or sinus infection?

Okay so 2 weeks ago I was really sick with what I believe to be a bad allergic reaction to pollen and whatever else was in the air at the time. This cleared up in about 4 days and I was able to breathe out of my nose again.  About a week later I started to experience stomach pains and diarrhea, I went to my doctor and she said that I had a stomach virus and that it should be okay by the weekend, which by the way is this weekend. Then finally last Tuesday I started to experience some tooth sensitivity in the upper right molar which has a deep cavity. I woke up the next morning and the pain had increased but it was bearable. The next two days the pain was more like excruciating and I had to ice it down to make it feel better and the pain subsided. The odd part about this is that I started to experience some nasal blockage when I woke up in the morning. There was an odd smell coming from my nose along with a greenish/brownish fluid with small traces of red. My upper right cheek near the nose feels tender and so does my neck underneath my jaw. It doesnt feel like a lump but it feels slightly larger than the other side, and the back of my neck also feels sore with no sign of any swelling. I need help I have no idea what is going on in my body and I need to know if this is serious or not. I started taking (500 milligrams) garlic tablets and (1000 miligrams) Vitamin C tablets to ward of any infection if there is one. I am really scared to be honest and I need someone to help me out. Thank you very much for reading. Portia

I have a similar problem which is caused by a sinus infection in my maxillary sinus -- It is caused by an infection from a root canal -- it caused a communication from my mouth into my sinuses -- causing the infection.
You need to take care of the tooth (filling/extraction/root canal) & then treat the sinus infection (anti-biotics) -- You should see a dentist about the tooth with the deep cavity to make sure you do not have an abcess.
If your sinus problems persist after having the tooth treated, you should see an ENT and get a CT of your sinuses to determine the cause of your sinus problems -- It is probably all related. Good luck.
