Some dental liquid leaked down gum line to throat

Today while having an old filling (composite) re-done, some of the dental fluid in a syringe like applicator was squirted on more than just the tooth being fixed.  It went down my gum line to my throat before the tech sunctioned.  It had a strong tangy flavor.  I asked the dentist and he wasn't sure what liquid it was as some time passed before I could say anything.  From what I could get off my research it may have been dental etching gel.   Would this have etched my other teeth?  Do I need to see a doctor for any medical problems that may arise?  I read it's caustic, but I don't feel any problems.

Thanks for any answers!

Etching gel is a mild acid which is used to open up nodules in the tooths dentine layer, this makes the bonding process more effective, Thus giving your filling a better chance of working. The effects of etching only lasts whilst the tooth stays dry so even if the etching gel was placed on your other teeth as soon as your saliva hit your other teeth the gel would have become inaffective.

Hope this helps

There shouldnt be any problem ideally. If you are not facing any odd health issues like itching in throat or stomach upset then do not worry. The liquid will definitely be in minute quantity to actually create any trouble. Si if there is no issue, then just let it be.
