wisdom tooth cuming through

hi this is two q really i have had bad teeth for years i have a very bad phobia of dentists and have to be sedated in order to have fillings for example!
i have had a wisdom tooth come through altho not fully yet but it is causing me lots of problems at the moment i think i have an abcess (abscess) due to this as everytime it comes through i have this problem its causing pain in my jaw altho it has gone down i am worried as the abcess (abscess) hasnt poped and i no it can be serious if it doesnt is this true and do younow how to relieve the pain??
i also have problems with my gums they bleed when i brush them and if hard pressure is applyed they also are sore and seem to be recceeding i am worried about the state of health my mouth is in but to scared to go to the dentist do you think i could have gum disease??

Some early signs of gum disease are:     Red, swollen, tender gums.
    Gums that bleed easily when brushed or flossed. Healthy gums do not bleed with regular brushing and flossing.

Receding gums indicate more advanced gum disease. I understand that you have a fear of dentists, but i would go get it checked out before any problems get worse.
