Bupropron and libido

by sweatshirt55, Apr 22, 2009 06:34PM
Hello...How long should it take to notice an increase in libido on Bupropion? ( I know this is not a guarantee).
I am also on citalopram but it has KILLED my libido so I'm taking Bupropion in an attempt to get it back. I don't want to be on an extra pill, so I'm wondering should I give up on this med yet (the Bupropion)??

How long have you been on it? Are you still on the citalopram? if you are still on the citalopram, don't expect to get your libido back.  It massacred mine, all the drugs in those categories. I was taking off those drugs in Aug until this last month and was placed on Wellbutrin. I'm hoping I don't feel neutered again. I had no sex drive for over 10 yrs! If it interferes again, I'm ask to be taken off, there are a multitude of drugs out there that don't kill your libido, they are in the mood stabilizer category. If you don't have a psychiatrist, get one, they are specialists in psychiatric drugs. I'm on several drugs for BP and not one affected my libido.
