Is it really true you can't afford the orthotics and the shoes you need, or are you so depressed you don't want to explore the options for people who can't afford medical care? But here's what probably happened with the Cymbalta. It's a very stimulating antidepressant, and that might explain the dreams. It also doesn't get rid of the source of pain, it just makes you not care about it. Arthritis gets worse if you don't move. But it's also an extremely difficult med to stop taking -- it has to be done slowly and carefully, and most regular docs don't know how to do this or even that it's necessary -- good psychiatrists do, but even most of them don't know or care about this part of the process. You have to taper off the drug for as long as it takes to avoid withdrawal -- you also have to do this with Zoloft, but Cymbalta affects more people seriously. You also can't play around with Synthroid arbitrarily -- you need what you need, and if you take it for a period of time even if your thyroid still had function it won't anymore. I'd say you need to properly stop the Cymbalta, as it doesn't work for you, let your endocrinologist properly set your Synthroid, and when you've successfully stopped the Cymbalta go back on the Zoloft. Good luck.
