Is this manic depression, & what can I do to help him?60

My 62 yr old husband was brought to hospital last night after bouts of laughing,crying, screaming.He was restring in 4 points {hard to see}, but after a dose of Haldol & Adderal(sp) he calmed cown & they released him.The Dr. could not explain,other than his lactic acid was sky high when brought ing & now it is normal.He is prone to panic attacks, bit this a whole symptom. Please help!!!

I would schedule an appointment with my family doctor or one who specializes in geriatrics. It doesn't sound like you got a real answer on what happened to your husband and you need one so he can get treatment.

Certain things being too high/low in the body work wonders on your body (for example, potassium levels will affect memory).  If everything's truly back in check and he's not continuing these symptoms, it's more likely to be what the doctor said than bipolar disorder.
