Not crying during devastating times...

Is it normal or bad to not cry during devastating times? When I see a sad story on TV, I get chills down my spine, I rush up, but I do not cry. Sometimes during a sad documentary or scene, I even find myself with a small smile. My main emotion is not sadness, feeling "emotional" is not feeling sad or teary for me. Is this normal???

My aunt laughs at funerals...it's her way of coping with emotionally  devastating times...just like Rainlover71 has stated...each person is different, as are their reactions.
I know some people who get extremely angry and throw things when they see a sad scene...any coping mechanism that works I guess.

Everyone has their own way of reacting to certain situations,I have seen people at funerals not cry at all but it doesn't mean that they are not in pain or deeply suffering from their loss.Everyone is different and if that's how you react then it's just you.No one can judge you bro.We are all individuals.
