Pain

I have body pain most of the time. How much pain do most people have with depression, and what are the best ways to deal with it?

Meds: Doxepin, Klonopin, Tegrtetol---Tylenol for pain

Yes, it depends on where the pain is coming from. You take only tylenol forpain. Ask your doc--too much of that can be bad for the liver?

Please find out if something is wrong. Maybe you could use physical therapy, if thyere is nota serious cause. Can you walk? Swim?

Can you get in a group and talk about your depression?

I hope you are better.

Some people do get accute pain as an indirect cause of their Major Depression.
Most of the time the Physical pain of Depression is ususally geralized as in body aches, Nasea, sick stomach, cramps, and just plain feeling like walking dead, and some other nasty physical symptoms to boot.

If you are having acute pain in any particular place then make sure you get that looked at. It may be a warning sign that something physical is wrong.

Good luck.

I don't think there is a finite point of pain..it's just what everyone can bear at that time.
Please do consider the side effects of pain meds before you commit to them.
Personally I think some pain meds contribute to depression but I have never looked this up to see if it is a normal side effect.
