Paxil increase

I have taken paxil for 15 years. Started out at 20 but over the years has been increased to 50mg. I now feel I need to increase to 60mg for depression and anxiety symptoms. How long will this increase take to go into effect? Will I have side effects at first until I get used to the increase? I'm still anxious and have trouble sleeping and eating, and depression, like before I started taking it 15 years ago. I take Klonopin for the anxiety, but I don't usually need it when the Paxil is doing it's job.

That's a long time to be on the same antidepressant. It's great that is has worked for you for this long.
Yes, with an increase you can have some side effects while your body is getting used to the new dose. If this continues though, see your Dr because it could be that the Paxil has quit working for you.
