Years ago I was on Remeron and had to stop taking it. I would take it at night and sleep so heavy that it scared finance'. The house could be on fire and I wouldn't wake up. I would be totally out for exactly 10-12 hours and wake up. Yes, I would wake up refreashed, but It was too dangerous to for me to be in that deep of a sleep. Plus, If by chance I did wake up, the next day I would not remember what I did while I was awake. Make sure you look for those sypmtoms. The remeron might be effecting your days.
I forgot to ask.... You do take your Remeron at night right?
One of the side effects of Remeron is about 3 to 5 hours of sleepiness after taken. After that point it actually works to combat the fatuge that severe depression causes.
When did you switch from SR to XL. That could be part of the problem. I took Remeron and felt groggy all day long every day and ate my way through all my groceries every few days.
Thank you so much for the suggestions. I'm taking 30mgs Paroxitine, 30mgs Remeron and 450mgs Wellbutrin. Wellbutrin is now SR as I cannot afford the XL and I'm taking all in generic form.
Again Thank You
I would also have to agree with remar. My guess would be the Paroxitine that may be causing this day time fatuge.
I am on a med combo very much like yours, and I swapped the Lexapro in favor of Prozac and have noticed much less day time fatuge.
This was my P-doc idea, he said that Prozac is a more energizing SSRI than Paxil or Lexapro. He was proven to be correct, as after 22 days on the prozac I have felt much less tired.
A couple months ago I also started getting Vitamin B-12 shots once per month. I'm not much for natural remidies, but these B-12 injections do seem to be having a positive effect on my day time fatuge. Prior to the shots, I was taking B-12 tablets, but they didn't do a thing.
Just some ideas to think about for you.
i take paroxitine too but at a very low dose and it still makes me tired. what dose are you on? you may need to cut way back on it. wellbutrin is a stimulating med so i don't think that's the problem. the other two i'm not sure about. i wish i could help more. i really think it's the paroxitine. check with your dr. before cutting down or changing any of your meds. take care. remar
