VIIBRYD: Is it activating?

Hi,

My p-doc is outstanding.  When I went in last night practically begging her for an activating AD, since I am so sluggish all the time, such as Parnate or Vivactil (protriptyline), she suggested that Viibryd might help.  She said in her own experience she has seen patients take Viibryd for a while who ended up wanting to get out of bed and had energy, when formerly all they wanted to do was sleep all day.

I was wondering if any of our fair colleagues out there are taking Viibryd and are reporting an activating effect (I hope) as opposed to a sedating one.  I CANNOT TOLERATE SEDATING ADs!  I sure hope my p-doc is "steering me right" - I have a lot of respect for her and she has a lot of clout.

THANKS

Forgot to mention, if your p-doc is recommending it, then that's a good sign!

Viibryd is fairly new, so I'm not sure how much info is out there about it.  I personally have only seen a handful of people here talk about it.

Why not just give it a try and see?  Everyone reacts differently anyway, so it's worth a shot!

Hello, if you put Viibryd in the search box in the right hand corner and press search, it will come up with all posts relating to that anti-depressant.  They may not be current posts, but they may help you with your question.
