Wellbutrin and hypertension.

I am a 24 year old male who is otherwise very healthy. I have hypertension, and I am also on 150SR of budeprion (Wellbutrin). I swear to my doctor and to the pyschiatrist I see that this must be induced by the budeprion. To test things out, I weaned myself off of the drug around January and remained only on 60mg of Cymbalta. I suffer from depression and anxiety. The Cymbalta (I used to be on Zoloft) is really not all that by itself...no sex drive, fatigue, and general apathy. The combination treatment with budeprion has proven wonderful, as it helps offset the side effects of the SSRIs and SNRIs. When I was off of the budeprion, my blood pressure went down, and I felt more calm--almost sedated. Now, I'm back on it and I can feel my pulse all over my body. I am on 5mg of Amlopidine (calcium channel blocker) for the hypertension, but it's not doing that much at that low dose. I'm torn...I like the budeprion and the increase in dopamine. However, I hypothesize that the increase in dopamine is directly responsible for the increase in hypertension and anxiety I feel.

I don't like just Cymbalta on its own. I can decrease the budeprion to 100SR, potentially reducing the effect on blood pressure. But, I'm almost afraid to be just on the SNRI by itself...and I don't want to increase the dosage, since the side effects obviously increase. I'm thinking about switchin back to Zoloft or trying Effexor. Perhaps I'll ask the doctor for a prescription for Cialis or Viagra or something like that for when I want some help "down there."
