Whats the difference. I called my Insurance and they asked me who I would like to see???
I have been medicated before and hate being so.... I would rather speak with a therapest and see if my problem can be fixed that way! Thanks
If you mean counselor as in talk therapist then clearly a psychiatrist is preferable as only they can prescribe medications. A therapist if they facilitate a person taking medication does so under the direction of a psychiatrist so its best to see a psychiatrist if you have to choose between the two.
