i am takeing depression tabs but they seem to be makeing ride the wave up and down thats how i feel at bed time ime wide awake is this normal i have tried to vary the times i take them

You need to find the meds that a right for depression.Its trial and error but its important you find the right medication for you otherwise its not going to help your depression but rather it will make the situation worse.

Anti-depressants often take at least 4-6 weeks before they start to really work, and when you first start them they can cause your depression to get worse or your side effects to go crazy. You need to give it time to get into your body though. All medicines have side effects, and taking them properly is key to your body getting used to it sooner.
