effexor or citalpram

which antidepressant is the best for weight loss.  my doctor just took me off of effexor and put me on citalopram.  have been on effexor for about 5 years, just doesn't seem to be working anymore.

The best antidepressant for weight lost from the literature is Wellbutrin. Psychiatrists often use it in a combo. In your case it would be Wellbutrin and citalopram or try Wellburtrin alone and see if it works.
