I do hope the bad feelings will pass.  I found agitation so much worse with Prozac.

I am thinking of you and your mum.  Let me know if you feel better soon.  If not, go back to doctor, and tell him what you have told us.

Take care.

thank you all for the comments it helps to hear it all, good and bad.
i took my second dose this morning, it hasn't been a good day but not quite as bad as yesterday.

i've got the extreme agitation. the thing with the suicidal thinking is that i always think about that anyway. the psychiatrist thinks that it can't get worse than it already is so i might as well stick with it and see if it helps at all. the problem is i'm under 18 so they only really give teenagers prozac not the others. i can't keep taking it if i feel like this, now i feel low and sick in the head and my body.

my mum had a bad reaction to prozac too and stopped taking it so i did think long and hard about taking it, but i am at the point now where i just couldn't go on so i needed to try something.

thanks again for the comments and anyone else with experience please add!
thanks

I had same raction to Prozac.  It made me really ill.  Never been so bad with medication before.  Talk to doc and ask to be taken off it.  No bad reaction to withdrawal as I stopped it after 4 weeks.

Prozac is not good for everyone.  I tried to put up with all the side effects, thinking they would pass, but I just got worse and worse.

The first doses are always those with the most side-effects. This is true for every antidepressants out there. Everyone can react differently to the side-effects and those ''body adjustments'' side effects tend to slowly disappear during the first week. Therapeutic lag is usually 3 to 4 weeks.

Serious side-effects that needs immediate attention are:

-rash
-trouble breathing
-fever
-extreme agitation

I would not take any change and call your pharmacist for more information and a more detailed description of your symptoms.

I would call your doctor, this appears to be a bit much even for an adjustment period.
