has anyone heard of dextromethorphon(dxm)

this is an ingredient in cough medicine  i got couple of bottles of it to kill myself with but didnt take it all.but its made me feel really strange but in a good way and want to take some more.ive took 250mg and want to take 150m gmore.you think this will be ok?not trying to kill myself just like this feeling but not too bothered if i do end up dead.

Well, obviously if your goal is to kill yourself there are plenty of ways to do it that are much more effective than to OD.

If just getting high is your goal then there are plenty of better options than drinking cough medicine.

Rather than asking us how much of said chemical you should ingest, you may want to ask others and yourself what your ultimate goal is. If getting answers as to why you are feeling suicidal is your goal, then you may want to ask more direct questions that may offer others on the forum the ability to guide you in the direction of healing.

We're not going to give you drug advice on how to harm yourself. You will have to figure that one out on your own.

Rach, honey, all I can add here, is if you think you feel bad now, go and add an addiction, like the cough syrup, to your life.  

Soon, the cough syrup will no longer make you feel "good" and your depression will be worse than it is now.  

This is all a very bad idea.  

Please follow the advice of Hensley and Shari.  And honey, let me tell you something else.  It's really not fair to post something like that and panic the people that care about you.  If you're feeling suicidal, we can give you support to get you through that moment, but taking something and then posting about it, just makes us all feel so helpless.

i just want to apologise 4 the post i left the other night it wasnt fair of me to do that. i had taken it with the intention 2  to harm myself and ended up gettin hig of it.was high wen i wrote it n didnt really no wati was saying. im really sorry

It's ok rach. We all feel that way from time to time, even with good treatment.

So, what's going on, why are you feeling so self destructive? Is that just the depression talking or are ther other problems such as family, drugs. ect...

We've all been there and understand.
