antipsychotics for sleeplessness and depersonalization.

Ive been on an OCD med and klonipin for some time now, with great results.  2 weeks ago i got real stressed,  had an anxiety attack and have been suffering from depersonalization ever since.   I told my doc.  he said there was no real treatment for DP.  He asked how I was sleeping, I said "not too good".   he then told me to call him in 2 weeks if Im not sleeping well, and he'll put me on an antipsychotic.   anyone have any thoughts?   will this afford me any relief of some sort?

I have been on .5mg of klonipin.  As of yesterday, my dr upped it to 1mg at bedtime.  its been great for me over these years.  for some reason though, Ive managed to panic beyond all panic, so he upped it.  its an addictive drug, and usually only used short term.  but at the low dose, and the fact Ive been on it so long with good results, my dr keeps me on it.    I dont CRAVE it.  if I accidentally miss a does,  I dont freak... i just wait until the next day and take it.   Im dependent on it, obviously, but not addicted.

i am also on klonipin for anxiety..i was wondering what is your doseage since you have been on it for 18 years..

what anti psychotic do you take? and is it effective for sleep?   any bad side effects?

well, I had to call him early.  he actually upped my dose of klonipin.  if it works, wonderful.  Ive been on it 18 years.  my dr knows Im dependent on it, but he isnt concerned.   my first double dose being tonight.  if it doesnt work, ill call him. but Im giving it a few days to reach its therapeutic level.

I would take the anti psychotic
I take one for sleep, low dose with my antidepressant.

I dont see how you can ever recover without sleep.  It is much better than taking the short term, addicitve stuff
